Very useful for banning people or for specifying which IPs only have access to the server. Examples: addip 123.123.123.123 addip 123.123.123 alias Usage: alias Creates or modifies an alias. Used to create a reference to a command or list of commands. Note: Enclose multiple commands within quotes and seperate each command with a semi-colon. aliaslist Lists all aliases. allskins Downloads all skins that are currently in use. Useful for refreshing skins without exiting the level. bf Shows a background screen flash that is the same one that is produced when the player picked up an item in the game. Useful in scripts to give the user a visual feedback when an alias is used for example. bind Usage: bind [command] Attaches a command to a key. Note: Enclose multiple commands within quotes and seperate each command with a semi-colon. bindlist Lists all binds. cfg_load Usage: cfg_load Does a cfg_reset and then executes a given config in fodquake/configs. cfg_reset Resets variables, erases aliases, unbinds keys, removes plus commands, teamplay commands, miscellaneous commands. After resetting it executes default.cfg and then autoexec.cfg. cfg_save Usage: cfg_save Dumps all aliases, bindings, plus commands, misc commands, teamplay settings and variables to given filename. User made variables (created with set/seta) are saved as well. Note: configs saved with cfg_save are saved in fodquake/configs/. clear Clears the console screen from text. cmd Sends a command directly to the server. cmdlist Lists all commands. color Usage: color <0-13> [0-13] Sets the color for the player's shirt and pants. Note: If one color is given, shirt and pants will share the same color. connect Usage: connect Connects to a QW server. cvar_reset Usage: cvar_reset Resets a given cvar to default. cvarlist Lists all cvars. demo_capture Usage: demo_capture Captures a demo to frames. Uses demo_capture_fps and (default: "30") and demo_capture_dir (default: "capture"). demo_jump Usage: demo_jump [+:-][M:] (seconds) Jumps to a point in time. demo_setspeed Usage: demo_setspeed [speed %] Sets playback speed. devmap Usage: devmap Continues game on a new level. disconnect Disconnects the player from the server. dns Usage: dns
Performs dns lookups and reverse lookups. Examples: dns 123.124.125.126 dns your.fodquake.server download Usage: download Downloads a quake file from the server. Example: download skins/foo.pcx easyrecord Records a demo and names it according to match_* settings. echo Usage: Echo Prints text to your local console. edict Usage: edict Reports information on a given edict in the game. edictcount Displays summary information on the edicts in the game. edicts Displays information on all edicts in the game. enemycolor Usage: enemycolor <0-13> [0-13] Sets the color of the enemy's shirts and pants. Note: If one color is given, shirt and pants will share the same color. exec Usage: exec Executes a script file from the current gamedir. If script is not found there executes one in fodquake/, later in id1. Note: Default gamedir is qw. f_modified Checks all the usual dm models, sounds, palettes etc. In teamfortress the teamfortress flag, dispensers and sentry guns are also checked. f_server Prints proxies you are using. filter Message filtering system. Only team messages are filtered. Use filter with no parameters to list current filters and filter clear to remove all filters. Examples: filter #a say_team i can see this message #a. say_team i can't see this message #d. floodprot Usage: floodprot fly Gives fly ability to the player. Note: Needs cheat support by server. fraglogfile Enables logging of kills to a file. Useful for external frag polling programs. The file name is frag_##.log fuh_version Prints your version of FuhQuake and authenticate. fullinfo Usage: fullinfo Used by QuakeSpy and Qlist to set setinfo variables. Note: Use the setinfo command to see the output. Example: fullinfo "\quote\I am the only Lamer!\" gamedir Specifies the directory where the QWPROGS.DAT file is found and other additional files such as maps, models, sound, and skins for Quake modifications. Note: You must be disconnected before changing gamedir. give Gives a certain amount of an item to the player. Items: 1 - Axe 2 - Shotgun 3 - Double-Barrelled Shotgun 4 - Nailgun 5 - Super Nailgun 6 - Grenade Launcher 7 - Rocket Launcher 8 - ThunderBolt C - Cells H - Health N - Nails R - Rockets S - Shells Note: The -cheats parameter must be used to launch the server to use the give command. Also the key and value *cheats ON will be displayed in the serverinfo information. Examples: give 1234 R 99 will give for user 1234 99 rockets. give 1234 7 will give for user 1234 rocket launcher. god Gives immortality to the player. Note: Needs cheats support by server. heartbeat Forces a heartbeat to be sent to the master server. A heartbeat informs the master server of the server's IP address thus making sure that the master server knows that the server is still alive. help Displays a help menu. if Usage: if [else ] ignore Ignores either a player's name or a userid (ignore ). Ignore without any command line parameters displays your ignore list. ignore_id Ignores by id. ignore_team Ignores by team. ignorelist Lists ignored. impulse Calls a game function or QuakeC function. Often impulses are used by the mod by defining aliases for game functions like "ready" and "break" that call certain impulses. inc Usage: inc [value] Increments a variable by one or adds to it the optional second argument. Example: inc sensitivity -2 join Usage: join
Joins a specified server as player. If no address is specified, it will reconnect to the last visited server as a player. kick kick [reason] Removes a user from the server. Use the status command to receive the user's id. kill Suicides the player. listip Prints out the current list of IPs on the server list. Not to be confused with the status command which prints out the list of the IPs of the connected players. load Usage: load Loads a game. loadFragfile Usage: loadFragfile loadcharset Loads a charset from /textures/charsets/ (PNG or TGA). Note: GL only, default gamedir is qw. loadloc Usage: loadloc Loads a loc file from /locs. Note: default gamedir is qw. loadsky Loads a skybox from /env. Note: default gamedir is qw. localinfo Shows or sets localinfo variables. Useful for mod programmers who need to allow the admin to change settings. This is an alternative storage space to the serverinfo space for mod variables. The variables stored in this space are not broadcast on the network. This space also has a 32-kilobyte limit which is much greater then the 512-byte limit on the serverinfo space. Special Keys: (current map) (next map) - Using this combination will allow the creation of a custom map cycle without editing code. Note: Overwrites logs without asking. macrolist Lists all macros. map Usage: map Continue game on a new level. mapgroup mapgroup 2fort5r 2fort5: will make 2fort5r and 2fort5 use the 2fort5r textures, locs and etc... match_forcestart Simulates the start of a match (so that auto recording etc. is triggered). match_format_macrolist Lists macros and their meaning for autorecording and autoscreenshots. match_save If 'match_auto_record 1' is used then a temp demo will be recorded to fodquake\temp\_!_temp_!_.qwd each time a map starts. This temp demo will be overwritten when the next match starts. If you want to keep the temp demo, use the "match_save" command. This will move the demo to the same folder and filename that easyrecord would have used. menu_demos Displays a demo menu. menu_fps Displays a fps menu. menu_help Displays a help menu. menu_keys Displays a keys menu. menu_load Displays a load menu. menu_main Displays a main menu. menu_multiplayer Displays a multiplayer menu. menu_options Displays an options menu. menu_quit Displays a quit menu. menu_save Displays a save menu. menu_setup Displays a setup menu. menu_singleplayer Displays a singleplayer menu. menu_video Displays a video menu. messagemode Prompts for string to broadcast to all players. messagemode2 Prompts for string to broadcast to team members. msg_trigger Example: "alias d c; alias c b; alias b a; alias a say hello" and then msg_trigger d "hi" will say 'hello' whenever someone says 'hi'. noclip Gives the player ability to fly and go thru objects. Note: Needs cheats support by server. observe Usage: observe
Connects to a server as a spectator. If no address is specified, it will reconnect to the last visited server as a spectator. packet Usage: packet path Shows what paths FodQuake is using. pause Pauses a game. Note: Server must support a pause. play Usage: play Plays a sound effect. Example: play misc/runekey.wav playdemo Usage: playdemo Plays a demo. playvol Usage: play Plays a sound effect at a given volume. pointfile Usage: pointfile If qbsp generates a non-zero .pts file a leak exists in the level. This file is created in the maps directory. By using the pointfile command, it will load the .pts file and give a dotted line indicating where the leak(s) are on the level. profile Reports information about QuakeC stuff. quit Exits the game r_drawflat Usage: r_drawflat [x_lower_limit] [y_upper_limit] [y_lower_limit] [y_upper_limit] [z_lower_limit] [z_upper_limit] [r] [g] [b] Limits go from -1 to 1, colors should be in the range of 0 to 1. r_drawflat_floors_ceilings Usage: r_drawflat_floors_ceilings [r] [g] [b] Colors should be in the range of 0 to 1. r_drawflat_set Usage: r_drawflat_set [surface] [r] [g] [b] Colors should be in range of 0 to 1. r_drawflat_shoot Usage: r_drawflat_shoot [r] [g] [b] Colors should be in the range of 0 to 1. You must know the rcon password for that specific server. reconnect Reconnects to the last used server/proxy. record Usage: record Records a demo. removeip Removes an IP address from the server IP list. Examples: removeip 123.123.123.123 removeip 123.123.123 rotate Rotates the player by x degrees. Note: Positive value rotates to the left, negative to the right. Example: Rotate 180 save Usage: save Saves a game in a single player mode. say Broadcasts a string to all players. Example: say FodQuake rules! say_team Broadcasts a string to teammates. Example: say_team stop boring! sb_activate Shows a server browser. sb_add_filter Usage: sb_add_filter [tab name] [filter name] [filter operator] [value] Adds a filter. sb_add_friend Usage: sb_add_friend friend Adds a friend. sb_add_tab Usage: sb_add_tab [tab name] Adds a tab. sb_del_tab Usage: sb_del_tab [tab name] Deletes a tab. sb_list Lists all tabs. sb_refresh Refreshes a servers list. sb_remove_friend Usage: sb_remove_friend friend Removes a friend. sb_search Usage: sb_search nm player_name map You can use one or both arguments. sb_set_clipboard Usage: sb_set_clipboard [clip bord text] sb_tablayout Usage: sb_tablayout tab_name [ping players map hostname] Sets layout of a server browser. sb_tablength Usage: sb_tablength tab_name [ping players map hostname] length Limits width of a tab. sb_write_config Saves a server browser config. screenshot Grabs a screen, saves in a sshot_dir (default: "") using sshot_format (default: "png") and image_png_compression_level (default: "1"). serverinfo Reports the current server info. serverstatus Prints server status. set Usage: set Sets a variable. setinfo Sets information about your QuakeWorld user. Used without a key it will list all of your current settings. Specifying a non-existent key and a value will create the new key. setmaster Lists the server with up to eight masters. When a server is listed with a master, the master is aware of the server's IP address and port and it is added to the list of current server connected to a master. A heartbeat is sent to the master from the server to indicated that the server is still running and alive. Examples: setmaster 192.246.40.12:27002 setmaster 192.246.40.12:27002 192.246.40.12:27004 sizedown Reduces the screen size. sizeup Increases the screen size. skins Refreshes skin settings. Note: If noskins is set to 0 this will download all skins which are currently in use on the server. snap Usage: snap Remote screenshot from a player. snapall Remote screenshots from all players. snd_restart Restarts sounds. soundinfo Reports information on the sound system. soundlist Reports a list of sounds in the cache. status Reports information on the current connected clients and the server. stop Stops demo recording. stopsound Stops all sounds currently being played. sv_gamedir Displays or determines the value of the serverinfo *gamedir variable. Note: Useful when the physical gamedir directory has a different name than the widely accepted gamedir directory. Examples: gamedir tf2_5; sv_gamedir fortress; gamedir ctf4_2; sv_gamedir ctf; teamcolor Usage: teamcolor <0-13> [0-13] Sets the color for the friendly's shirts and pants. Note: If only the shirt color is given, the pants color will match. tempalias Usage: tempalias Create or modify an alias. Unsaveable by cfg_save. timedemo Usage: timedemo Runs a demo as fast as possible and shows the average fps rate. timerefresh Performs a 360 degree turn and calculates the frames-per-second rate. toggle Usage: toggle Toggles a cvar on/off. toggleconsole Toggles a console on/off. togglemenu Toggles a main menu on/off. tp_pickup Usage: tp_pickup [[+|-]item] [[+|-]item] tp_pickup is what can be reported by %i, $took, $tookloc and $tookatloc. tp_took is what causes f_took trigger to be fired when you pick something up. tp_pickup can safely be set to "all", but there are reasons not to do that and use default settings. tp_point Usage: tp_point [[+|-]item] [[+|-]item] What to report for pointing (%x, %y and %t).
